It features great photography, something for supper and will last you 18 months.

Shepherds of Good Hope, with the help of six talented photographers and a graphic designer, has created an 18-month calendar featuring some of Ottawa’s top chefs to help raise funds for Ottawa’s homeless population.

Unveiled at its signature fundraising event – A Taste for Hope – many of the chefs featured in the calendar also participated in the annual culinary event.

The calendar features the stunning photos of Jason Van Leeuwen, Lindsey Gibeau, Jessica Deeks, Shane Francescut, Christopher Schlesak, Christian Lee and Valerie Keeler. It was designed by Birddog Design Studio and includes spectacular recipes by Margaret Dickenson.

Many of the photos feature the chefs outside of the kitchen. The goal was to create art that could stand on its own. Any of the photos could easily be part of a photo exhibit or featured in a gallery. Shepherds of Good Hope not only wanted a fundraising product but something that supporters would truly be proud of having in their home.

Each calendar costs $25, and thanks to the members of the Capital Driving Automotive Group who sponsored the printing, all funds received will go directly to the men and women who rely on Shepherds of Good Hope every day.
